We provide a wide range of training courses to meet your needs. If you don't find the information you're looking for, please contact us on 01202 374040 to discuss your requirements.
The starting point for anyone wanting to ride a bike is to complete Compulsory Basic Training, CBT. At 16 you may ride a moped, and at 17, a motorcycle up to 125cc. Before you can take the CBT you will need to have a valid provisional UK driving licence or a full UK driving licence with provisional motorcycle entitlement.
The CBT is normally run over one or two days and takes you from complete beginner to riding on the road. Once completed you will be able to ride your bike with 'L' Plates, for a maximum of two years. For full details of our CBT courses or to book online, please follow the link below.
Sometimes referred to as Category A, A1 or A2, or maybe Direct Access (DAS) or Restricted Access, to remove the 'L' Plates or to move to a larger bike, you must pass a Motorcycle Theory test and the two part Motorcycle Practical Test.
The various categories can sometime seem confusing, but it is simply based on age. The category letters refer to the maximum amount of power the motorcycle can have. You must be over 24 for full power Category A.
The training is the same for each category. The test is the same for each category. The price is the same for each category.
If you already have a bike licence, but it has been a while since you last rode a bike, or maybe you feel you just need a confidence boost with certain aspects of your riding, then a refresher session maybe for you.
There are no set courses for this sort of training as we tailor everything to your specific requirements. Sessions may last from a couple of hours to a couple of days and would normally be done on a one-to-one basis.
If you feel this sort of training would benefit you, then please give us a call.
